Formed in a basement in Queens in the mid 80's (as Hell On Earth), Victim Of Pain always had the talent, just never had the drive that is necessary to get anywhere in this business. All we cared about was getting fucked up and jamming, not even noticing what potential we had as a band. Original members Angelo(guitar), Andy(guitar), and Chris(drums) started out doing Overkill, Slayer, Nuclear Assault and Cro-Mags covers, while arranging Angelo's riffs into actual songs. Playing with no Bass player for about a year, Butch Judge joined, bringing his hard rock influences and motivation into the band, then we really began writing, and the band took on a whole new attitude.
After a few line-up changes, a few break-ups, and Chris moving out of state, Hell On Earth lay dead for a few years. Now Chris is back, and the current line up, which includes Angelo Rivera(Guitars), Andy Prezioso(Bass), Chris Ramsay(Drums), Ivan Figueroa(Guitar), and Phil Reed(Vocals), Victim Of Pain has become a band to be reckoned with. We are taking everything a hell of a lot more serious now, writing new material, playing more shows.. Our style has changed a bit, but is still heavily influenced by the thrash metal of the 80's. We're sort of a bands band, seems like the other bands we play with are our biggest supporters lately... So, if you like Old School Thrash, then get off your asses and get out to see VICTIM OF PAIN!
